Lindblom Math & Science Academy (LMSA) is a unique learning institution with a rich history. Lindblom Technical HS, founded in 1919, is a longstanding beacon of excellence in education in the Englewood community. Lindblom Tech transformed to become Lindblom Math & Science Academy as part of a transformative journey recognizing the increasing importance of STEM disciplines. Our monumental and grandly scaled school was designated as an official Chicago landmark by the City Council in 2019.

Today, we continue our legacy of greatness by preparing students for success in college and beyond. Through competency-based education/proficiency-based learning, we offer clear and targeted guidance, empowering students to articulate their strengths and identify areas for improvement. Our partnerships with our local, regional and international partners provide students with unparalleled access to advanced science, math, arts, and world language opportunities.

Our innovative colloquium programming enriches students’ academic and social skills by blending classroom learning with real-world experiences. This includes opportunities for community engagement and academic enrichment beyond traditional settings.

Our alumni community is one of the most engaged and supportive networks of any school. Each year, over 60 alumni return for our annual Career Day to inspire and mentor our current Eagles, sharing insights from their own journeys. Alumni also contribute by supporting internships, guest speaking in classes, and funding scholarships for our graduates.
